| China Railways Logo, emblazed upon the historically forgotten train depots’ ceiling, boldly fights to withstand the test of time. Created in 1949, set on the red star background, it may stir feelings of preprogrammed emotions amongst foreign visitors arriving from alternate nationalistic pasts. As with other unnoticed self propagated stereotypes, masses passing underneath today offer little acknowledgment; letting it fall into a lonely sea of forgotten memorabilia from humanities past. Long ago an unremembered worker proudly finished applying paint onto the star destined to remain as a stamp of accomplishment over nameless, timeless commuters passing by. From that forgotten, celebrated day; to an unnoticed, almost inaudible cameras shutter click, its final glory of what could be eternal recognition is captured, if not for merely a moment, before being lost forever. As the workers name was forgotten, and joyous grand opening date unremembered; so shall he become, who witnessed that uneventful shutters click. All who pass underneath the red stars’ logo are soon lost forever to that hard, cold, unmovable flow of time which offers a stamp of accomplishment equally to none whom flow beneath her. |
